Welcome to Earth Science!!!!!! This year we will study the many wonders that encompass our earth as well as our universe. In this class you will be expected to take notes, think critically, participate in labs, arrive on time for bellwork, come prepared, makeup work if you were absent and help other students. This class is made up of 3 parts: Classwork, Labs and Activities, Tests and Quizzes.
Classwork: Classwork is worth 20% of your grade. Cornell notes, test notes, and Bellwork all count towards your classwork grade. Everyday of notes is worth 50 points and every day of bellwork is worth 20 points. Notes will be collected on the day of the test and bellwork is always collected on Fridays.
Labs and Activities: Labs and Activities are worth 20% of your grade. After notes, we usually will have a lab assignment to work on. Labs or Activities are due either the day they are assigned or the day after.
Tests and Quizzes: Tests and quizzes are worth 50% of your grade. The worst thing you can do in my class is miss a test and not make it up. One way to get your grade up is to retake tests online.
